This case adds an optional property to the 'cpu' node of the guest MD that specifies the number of supported real address bits, briefly described below: Name Tag Req'd? Description ------------------------------------------------------------------ mmu-#ra-bits PROP_VAL No A 64-bit unsigned integer giving the number of real address bits supported by this virtual CPU. If not present, no default value is assumed and the max RA value can be inferred from the 'mblock' nodes. This property will initially be used to determine the maximum RA value for the purposes of implementing Memory DR. Further details, including the interface table, can be found in the one pager included in the materials directory: http://sac.sfbay/FWARC/2009/300/materials/onepager.txt This case will be approved for a minor/micro/patch OS binding and a minor/micro binding for the firmware. Case timer is set to expire on May 20, 2009. -Ryan From sacadmin Thu May 14 11:20:52 2009 Received: from newsunmail1brm.central.sun.com (newsunmail1brm.Central.Sun.COM [129.147.62.245]) by sac.sfbay.sun.com (8.13.8+Sun/8.13.8) with ESMTP id n4EIKq7J008705 for ; Thu, 14 May 2009 11:20:52 -0700 (PDT) Received: from nwk-avmta-1.SFBay.Sun.COM (nwk-avmta-1.SFBay.Sun.COM [129.146.11.74]) by newsunmail1brm.central.sun.com (8.13.7+Sun/8.13.7/ENSMAIL,v2.2) with ESMTP id n4EIK6Hp012573; Thu, 14 May 2009 12:20:51 -0600 (MDT) Received: from pmxchannel-daemon.nwk-avmta-1.sfbay.Sun.COM by nwk-avmta-1.sfbay.Sun.COM (Sun Java System Messaging Server 6.2-3.04 (built Jul 15 2005)) id <0KJN00109CAECI00@nwk-avmta-1.sfbay.Sun.COM>; Thu, 14 May 2009 11:20:38 -0700 (PDT) Received: from sca-es-mail-2.sun.com ([192.18.43.133]) by nwk-avmta-1.sfbay.Sun.COM (Sun Java System Messaging Server 6.2-3.04 (built Jul 15 2005)) with ESMTP id <0KJN00H5MCAERD40@nwk-avmta-1.sfbay.Sun.COM>; Thu, 14 May 2009 11:20:38 -0700 (PDT) Received: from fe-sfbay-09.sun.com ([192.18.43.129]) by sca-es-mail-2.sun.com (8.13.7+Sun/8.12.9) with ESMTP id n4EIKYtI003331; Thu, 14 May 2009 11:20:37 -0700 (PDT) Received: from conversion-daemon.fe-sfbay-09.sun.com by fe-sfbay-09.sun.com (Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 7u2-7.02 64bit (built Apr 16 2009)) id <0KJN00L00AW7QN00@fe-sfbay-09.sun.com>; Thu, 14 May 2009 11:20:31 -0700 (PDT) Received: from [129.150.36.174] ([unknown] [129.150.36.174]) by fe-sfbay-09.sun.com (Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 7u2-7.02 64bit (built Apr 16 2009)) with ESMTPSA id <0KJN00J59C9WTW20@fe-sfbay-09.sun.com>; Thu, 14 May 2009 11:20:21 -0700 (PDT) Date: Thu, 14 May 2009 11:20:20 -0700 From: Hitendra Zhangada Subject: Re: Fast-track: FWARC/2009/300 - CPU MD node property for real address bits In-reply-to: <4A098D9E.3030704@Sun.COM> Sender: Hitendra.Zhangada@sun.com To: Ryan.Maeda@sun.com Cc: fwarc@sun.com, Bijan Mottahedeh , ldoms-memory-dr-iteam@sun.com Message-id: <4A0C60E4.9070204@sun.com> MIME-version: 1.0 Content-type: text/plain; CHARSET=US-ASCII; format=flowed Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT X-PMX-Version: 5.4.1.325704 References: <4A098D9E.3030704@Sun.COM> User-Agent: Thunderbird 2.0.0.21 (Windows/20090302) Status: RO Content-Length: 1499 Ryan Maeda wrote: > I am sponsoring this fast-track case for Bijan Mottahedeh. > > This case adds an optional property to the 'cpu' node of the > guest MD that specifies the number of supported real address > bits, briefly described below: > > Name Tag Req'd?
